Terms of Service

These terms apply to the cybersecurity training and related services provided by Bastani Security ("Bastani"). The specific proposal and Statement of Work you sign for an engagement governs that engagement; where there's any conflict, the signed agreement wins.

What we do

We provide education, facilitation, and cyber-readiness training - including live drills and authorized, safe attack simulations. We do not provide legal, tax, insurance, or regulatory advice, and our content is educational, not a substitute for professional advice. Penetration testing and similar advanced services, where offered, are delivered by vetted partners under a separate, authorized scope.

Bookings, quotes, and payment

• Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes (HST).
• Engagements typically require a deposit to reserve a date, with the balance due as set out in your proposal.
• Dates are confirmed once the deposit and a signed agreement are in place.

Rescheduling and cancellation

Because live delivery reserves dedicated preparation time, cancellation and postponement terms are set out in your proposal (for example, a full refund with enough notice, a retained deposit closer to the date, and limited options inside the final week). We'll always try to be reasonable.

Simulations and authorization

Any phishing, USB, QR, or social-engineering simulation is run only with your prior written authorization and agreed scope. We use no malware, never capture real passwords, install nothing on devices, and report results at the team level - never to shame an individual.

Materials and intellectual property

Our decks, workbooks, scenarios, and templates remain Bastani's intellectual property. You receive a licence to use the deliverables we hand over (such as your action plan) internally within your organization. Please don't record or redistribute our sessions or materials without written permission.

Confidentiality

We treat what we learn about your business during scoping and delivery as confidential, and we expect the same care for our materials and methods.

Limitation of liability

Cybersecurity reduces risk; it cannot eliminate it, and we never promise that any organization is "unhackable". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
