Can’t our IT company just do this?
Sometimes - and if they do, wonderful: hand them our checkup report and it becomes their work order. In practice these items sit in the gap between “IT keeps things running” and “someone owns security”, which is why they’re so often half-done. We close them, document them, and copy your IT on all of it.
Will anything break?
The honest answer: changes carry risk, which is why every one is authorized in writing first, preceded by a configuration backup, scheduled after hours where it matters, and paired with a written rollback plan. That discipline is most of what you’re paying for.
Why fixed prices?
Because hourly billing punishes you for our speed and rewards nobody. The scope is written, the price is published, and anything outside the scope becomes a one-paragraph change order you approve first - even when the price is zero.
